Welcome one and all, young and
old, men and women!!!
Today, as I sit here designing this site, two families are coming to my
mind. Families that have something in common with me. These families have
lost their children within the past month. One to SIDS, and the other was
born prematurely, fighting for his life since taking his first breath.
Needless to say, my heart goes out to these parents in need, because, I
too, have been in their shoes. As I thought about this, I thought about
all the parents who have been unable to hold their child, or the ones who
lost their child prematurely. They need something to hold, something to
wrap themselves in as they mourn their loss. Something that they can
cuddle into as they cry, and hopefully, find some rest.
If you are one of these parents, feel more than free to contact me. Please
know that time does not heal the pain, but the pain does lessen with time,
I'm living proof.
All others, if you can crochet, please help me in my endeavor to donate a
crocheted afghan. Whether you crochet it yourself, or we build one of
squares, these parents need to know that there are others who care. If you
would like to help, please send a note my way.
Please note that this is a brand new site, as well as a brand new idea. I
need some help with co-chair, someone to assist searching for these
families in need, someone to help gather patterns, and someone to assist
in fundraising/donations, as I would like this to turn into a non-profit
organization.
